Ayam Masak Merah

Today was a sunny day…. Woke up at 8.15 am, get myself ready to help Reuben out for the ‘ayam masak merah’ ….

These are the ingredients for the chicken….

Spices…………..


Koriender….. Indian spices…


First row, left to right, Fennel, Cloves, Cinnamon
Second row, left to right, chili powder, star anise, cadamon…


These are the portion we needed for one pot….


Curry leaves….


From left to right, Garlic powder, Kumin, Ginger powder, Kunyit powder….

Chickens………..and others


Chicken fats…


Tomato paste…


Onions…

That’s all we need…now..the STEPS >>>>>>


First, we need to fried the chicken fats first…to flavor the oil….


Put in the portion of spices we had picked it up…. The curry leaves and garlic powder..
Fried for a little while….


Add in onions….


Cook the onion till translucent … then….




Add in chili powder, kunyit powder, ginger powder….


Put in chicken…mix together….


Put in hot water…let it boil…. Remember to put in salt as needed..…


Let it boil…. How do you know if it is cook?


When the oil comes out to the surface…. See the red oil..means it is almost cook..


This is a good cooking…. When you see the oil on the surface….


Tadaaaa~!~!~!~! Cook done!! Yummyy…..

Later on helped them to pack it up into packet…. With 7 people included me…
100 packets altogether…
The packets were consists of rice (cooked with some Indian spices), kunyit carbages, half eggs, and one piece of ayam masak merah with its gravy… yummy…

Tonight’s dinner… I ordered 4 packets for cooking groups…. But unfortunately, there are no eggs left..
So I took 4 packets without eggs…. Oh ya..forgot to tell that one packet costs 50 rb…


This is mine …. Without egg… hahaha… Yuummy…

Birthday presents…


Ginger biscuits from Mervyn and Baskin robbins icecream from Lawrence…





2 icecreams from Hooi lian… eaten one…the strawberries… left one chocolate for the next time..hahaha




Bought this sharvama lavash .. a piece of flour-maked kulit with pork, carrots, spring onions and don’t know what inside it…. It costs me 50 roubles per one… bought it yesterday with teo, Johnny, and lynn wei for lunch… heard it is very nice.. so I tried it… but sad to say… the one I bought had some ‘dish washes’ flavor in a small part!!! Arghh!! No more second time man!! Arrrr…..
